Subject Description

Students will further develop instrumental or vocal technique, and awareness of the stylistic and interpretative characteristics of the repertory studied.

Further development of the areas studied in Music Performance 1. Other classes assigned include Piano Class, Vocal Masterclass, Woodwind Workshop, Strings Class, Brass Class. For vocal students, including classes in foreign language diction.

Assessment

(a) A 25-minute examination at the end of year of an approved program of pieces. Programs must be submitted to the coordinator for approval not later than 1 August; (b) students must pass a 10-minute technical examination and (c) have attended Concert Class - minimum of 10 classes per semester. Students must pass both a) and b) to pass the subject.
