Subject Description | On completion of this subject, students will be able to demonstrate basic playing, maintenance and tuning techniques on at least one instrument from each of the woodwind and string families, and will have acquired skills relevant to the performance of improvised music in the school setting. Semester each of group study of woodwind and of basic string techniques; Improvisation workshop. |
Assessment | Improvisation workshop (50%); Second instrument (50%). |
