Subject Description | Theories of the corporation and their implications for corporate governance; the role of shareholders, directors, management and auditors in corporate governance, with particular emphasis upon the debates relating to the role of institutional shareholders and non-executive directors; the pay for performance debate; the role of employees in corporate governance; international corporate governance, with particular emphasis upon the United States, Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom; the implications of the growth of multinational corporations for corporate governance; privatisation and corporate governance. |
Assessment | Research Essay 6000 words (100%). |
