Subject Description

The relationship between architectural theory and form, architecture as cultural practice, concepts of stylistic consistency and ideology as manifestations of architectural theory. An investigation of the literature, issues, and practices in architectural theory and compositional analysis. On completion of this subject students will have developed basic research and analytical representation skills in the subject area. Study of a topic of each student's own choice with approval of the Coordinator.

Assessment

Drawn compositional analyses, project work and reports up to the equivalent of 7500 words to be submitted in accordance with the program of study.
