Individual supervised work, with group meetings where appropriate, requiring about 24 hours a week for a period equivalent to one semester

Subject Description

Guided research in nominated areas, selected to give the student experience in different approaches and investigation tools. A program of study will be prescribed by the first week of semester; a bibliography will normally be submitted early in the semester. Regular reports and contact with the supervisor will be required throughout the semester. The reports must show evidence of the student's capacity to handle basic source material and data, analyse it reliably, interpret it imaginatively, and present it in a coherent manner in accordance with the prescribed conventions.

Assessment

Reports to the equivalent of 15,000 words to be submitted throughout the semester in accordance with the program of study.
