Two hours of lectures and up to two hours of tutorials and seminars per week

Subject Description

The real estate development and investment environment with particular emphasis on the application of quantitative methods in the analysis of real property. Property development and investment. Valuation of more complex properties. The concept of direct and indirect property. Economic, financial, legal, market, social and political factors applicable to real property. The place of property in the investment hierarchy and in Modern Portfolio Theory. Analysis of risk. A basic understanding of financial mathematics is assumed.

Assessment

One two-hour examination (50%). Assignments totalling not more than 5000 words (50%).
