Subject Description | An introduction to general marketing theory including concepts of product, consumer, sales, marketing forces, pricing, market research. An introduction to management of companies and organisations including business plans, roles and responsibilities, raising finance, finance submissions, planning. Marketing and management as practised in large and small Australian companies involved in residential developments, medium density housing, speciality housing, building construction, quantity surveying, real estate, and professional services. |
Assessment | One examination of up to two hours duration (70%). Assignments to the equivalent of 3000 words (30%). |
