Up to six hours of lectures seminars, and practical site work sessions and tutorials per week

Subject Description

Practice: Construction practice and materials common to Australian domestic construction; including the use of masonry, concrete and timber, and some common elements and cladding materials; introduction to: concepts of envelope enclosure and support; architectural documentation; practices and techniques; codes and regulations.

Assessment

Assignments, exercises, essays, and class presentations, equivalent of 5000 words, and one examination of up to 2 hours (which could take the form of a class test). Assignments may relate to work undertaken in other subjects.
