Entry into this subject will be by invitation from the Head of the School only. A high level of performance in 200-level subjects is required for selection.

Either Earth Sciences 625-223 and 625-224; or 625-226 and 625-227.

Corequisites

At least 62.5 points of 300-level Earth Sciences subjects.

Subject Description

By the end of this unit students should have an appreciation of the nature and requirements of independent work in a research environment. The subject involves the original investigation of an approved topic in Geology, Meteorology, or Environmental Science through observation and/or experimentation (including computation) and/or a critical review of published works.

Assessment

A written report of up to 3000 words.
