The lecture course covers topics selected from: principles of the major analytical instruments: chemical methods of sample preparation for classical and instrumental analysis; the sea as a chemical system, reactions occurring in estuaries and oceans, radioactivity in the sea, resources from the sea. |
Assessment | One 3-hour written examination at the end of Semester 2. Practical work will be continuously assessed. Satisfactory performance in both theory and practical work is required before credit can be granted for this subject. |
