Special Requirements: Dissecting instruments. Students are required to wear white coats in the dissecting room.

Subject Description

The aim of this subject is to give students an understanding of the structure and organisation of the head and neck and includes developmental and functional perspectives. Emphasis is placed on those areas of clinical relevance to dentists.

The objectives are the same as for 516-018 Anatomy 1, with particular emphasis on anatomy of the head and heck, including developmental and applied anatomy.

Assessment

A 3-hour written examination at the end of first semester (50%); two 30-minute practical examinations - one held during the semester (15%), and one at the end of the semester (20%); practical class work (i.e. dissection) (15%).
