Prerequisites | Entry is open to graduates who have qualified for the ordinary degree of B.Sc. including an APS accredited three year sequence in psychology (or equivalent). Selection is normally based on the mark obtained in third year psychology, which must be at least an H2B (70%). |

Subject Description | The principal objectives are to provide students with opportunities to develop (i) an understanding of a representative range of substantive areas in psychology, and (ii) acquire an understanding of the practice and ethics of psychology in professional settings. The content comprises five units, including one optional unit chosen from Current Issues in: Quantitative; Biological; or Cognitive Psychology and one from Current Issues in: Quantitative; Developmental; or Social Psychology. There are three compulsory units: Assessment and Professional Skills; Advanced Design and Data Analysis; and Theories in Psychology. |
Assessment | For all units: either a final examination of up to two hours at the end of the year or the conclusion of the unit; or a practical report or essay of up to 3000 words in length; or any combination of these. |
