Subject Description

Aspects of natural and physical science and technology, including children's understandings and pertinent learning experiences relevant to teaching in primary school.

On completion of this subject students should be able to communicate understandings of major science and technology concepts; investigate and identify features of children's understandings of science and technology concepts, and identify a range of experiences and resources appropriate to teach a range of science and technology concepts.

Assessment

A 1500 word written assignment; short written assignments (1500 words equivalent).

Hurdle Requirement: Satisfactory completion of a set task covering science content of the primary curriculum.
