Subject Description | An examination of curriculum issues in health and physical education through the Curriculum and Standards Framework. Practical workshops and seminars focus on primary school activities. Topics include motor learning; human sexuality and classroom issues; safety and challenge in outdoor education; introduction to nutrition; the health promoting school. |
Assessment | Hurdle requirement: Satisfactory participation and performance in seminars and practical classes is required for students to pass this subject. Written assignments totalling 2000 words and a 3 hour examination. |
