Prerequisites | Sub-majors in two branches of Mathematics or a major in one branch of Mathematics plus part 1 studies in another branch of Mathematics. (Statistics does meet this requirement; Computer Science does not). Students must be currently enrolled in, or have passed, Mathematics Core Method. |

Objectives | On completion of this subject students should be able to:

Content | Many topics in Mathematics Core Method will be considered in greater detail. These topics may include: VCE Mathematics courses and assessment procedures; problem solving, modelling and project work; using technology to learn and teach Mathematics; a detailed description of common student difficulties in particular content areas; catering for particular groups of students; and development of teaching aids and materials. |
Assessment | Essays and assignments equivalent to 4000 words. |
