Subject Description

An examination of class, ethnicity and racism, as a challenge to past assumptions about 'the Australian Way of Life' and the pre-eminence of British traditions; alternative traditions and their contribution to the shaping of our society. Particular attention to the research evidence on different cultural values and practices.

Assessment

A minor assignment of 2000 words and a major assignment of 3000 words.
