Subject Description | A study of theories from the major disciplines underpinning current educational practice. Theories from Sociology, Philosophy, Comparative Education and Educational Psychology will be presented, noting their relevance to contemporary educational issues such as discipline, access to education, education of ethnic minorities, gender and the Schools of the Future program. A significant component of the subject will examine the applicability of child development concepts to classroom practice. |
Assessment | Three assignments totalling 4500 words. |
