40 hours including a minimum of two hours per week for ten weeks in an approved workplace setting

Subject Description

An introduction to the study of: design methods used to develop a technological device; understanding of specification and performance criteria; various computer hardware and software applications enabling investigation, design, modelling, analysis and monitoring of the development of a prototype of a technological device; specification and manufacturing using numerically controlled machinery; the impact of computer technologies in teaching and learning programs; computer technologies into the classroom/workshop.

Assessment

A portfolio of work and a critical reflection report totalling 4000 words.
