Subject Description

An introductory survey of some of the contributions of different disciplines, e. g., sociology, history and psychology, to the study of organisations and administration; the three main theoretical perspectives (structural, humanistic and technological) will be considered and the relationship of organisations to the environment in which they are set will be emphasised.

Assessment

Two essays of approximately 2500 words or equivalent tasks.
