Subject Description

The Arts and their interrelationship, in Europe from the late 19th century to 1939. Developments in two of the following: visual arts, music, literature, dance, theatre arts. Historical background and the impact on society, particularly families, and the Arts of such revolutionary thinkers as Marx, Nietzsche and Freud.

Assessment

Written assignments totalling up to 4500 words or equivalent.

Each piece of work must be completed satisfactorily.
