Subject Description | A study of key theories, models and experimental research relevant to children's cognitive and intellectual development, learning and creativity and their impact on early childhood teaching and educational environments. Topics to be covered will include attention, memory, motivation and emotional aspects of preschoolers' cognition, theory of mind, creativity, school readiness and issues of cognitive and educational assessment. |
Assessment | An assignment of 2500 words; and a 21/2-hour examination. |
