Subject Description

Normally a 1 week block scheduled in May and a 2 week block in September at the same school. Through direct experience in schools the subject provides for students to develop their initial understandings of the broad role of the teacher, the primary school curriculum and the learning and teaching processes. It is expected that during the second 2 week block students will, with guidance from the supervising teacher, implement planned teaching tasks in the appropriate key learning areas.

Assessment

15 days of supervised school experience.
