Subject Description

Legal obligations and requirements imposed upon cadastral surveyors. History of land settlement in Victoria with respect to surveying. Detailed examination of the land tenure systems in Victoria. Boundaries, occupation and survey marks. Methods of performing cadastral surveys and re-establishing title in urban and rural areas. Cadastral survey computations and associated documentation. Searching survey and title information.

Assessment

Not more than three hours of written examination, plus written assignments and reports on practical work of not more than 20 pages in total. The relative weighting of the assessment components will be published at the commencement of the subject
