Subject Description | The objective of this subject is to present the instrumentation, theory, techniques and procedures of photogrammetric mapping from project planning to map compilation. Mapping from stereophotographs; stereo vision and parallax; relative, absolute and exterior orientation procedures; stereo restitution and map compilation; mission planning, accuracy aspects; design and operation of analytical and digital stereoplotters; image matching, and automated orientation procedures and DTM extraction. |
Assessment | Not more than three hours of written examinations and tests, and not more than the equivalent of 40 pages of written assignments and reports on practical work. The relative weighting of the assessment will be published at the commencement of the subject |
