Subject Description

The objective of this subject is for students to gain an appreciation of some facets of research in Computer Science and an in depth exposure to at least one area. The subject consists of a series of lectures on varied topics in Computer Science. The detailed content will vary from year to year, depending on staff interests.

Assessment

Written work and possibly computer programs, not exceeding 4000 words in total. A satisfactory performance on each piece of set work is required to pass the subject. Weighting of assessment components will be made known at the commencement of the subject
