Subject Description

Upon completion of this subject, the student will be equipped with many advanced and powerful tools which are essential for higher degree research in the area of signal processing.

The content includes; Advanced topics chosen from: Spectral Estimation, Sensor Array Processing, Image Processing, Transforms (Fourier, Cosine), Subspace Methods, Detection and Estimation, Maximum Likelihood Estimation, EM Algorithms, Markov Chains, Hidden Markov Models, Blind System Identification.

Assessment

One written examination not exceeding three-hours, practice classes, tests, assignments, and project reports not exceeding 20 pages
