Subject Description

Analysis of lumped component, time invariant and linear DC and AC networks. Network theorems for circuit analysis. Independent and controlled sources. Sinusoidal steady state analysis. Power in AC circuits. Mutual inductance, transformers. Transient response of electric circuits. Solution of circuit dynamic equations. Application of Laplace transform to circuit analysis. Two-port networks. Time domain and frequency domain description of circuit responses.

Assessment

One written examination not exceeding three-hours; practice classes, tests, assignments and project reports, not exceeding 20 pages
