Subject Description

At the conclusion of this subject, students should understand the application of engineering design methodology to natural resources engineering.

Topics covered include: General issues relating to Environmental Engineering design: engineering design methodology; systems and optimisation; economic analysis; environmental and social considerations; environmental impact statements and assessments; public participation; design projects.

Assessment

Written reports and assignments not exceeding 50 pages
