Subject Description | On completion of this unit students should appreciate the nature, and have an understanding, of the processes involved in developing solutions to problems concerned with infrastructure systems. Topics covered include; techniques for problem definition; nature of infrastructure systems their sub-systems; conceptual modelling of systems; conceptual and creative thinking; planning methodology; function; performance, failure and reliability, communication by reports, plans, computer-aided drafting. |
Assessment | One written examination not exceeding three-hours; two assignments of approximately 2000 word equivalent; one computer graphics assignment of not more than two hours |
