Subject Description | The objective of this unit is to present the techniques used to select and design process equipment and to make appropriate interconnections between these items. Principles of pipework layout. Design of heat exchangers; special types and thermosyphon reboilers. Hydraulic design of plate and packed columns for gas-liquid contacting. Comparison of plate vs. packed columns, and corrosion and materials selection. |
