Subject Description | This subject will provide an introduction to basic individual and group processes, as they affect people in organisations. Major theories and models in key areas of organisational behaviour will be examined: basic social processes (social cognition, group dynamics), motivation, stress, communication, decision-making, conflict, leadership, power and politics, and change management. Tutorials will emphasise the application of theories, through the use of simulations and case studies. |
Assessment | A 2-hour end-of-semester examination (60%), a 1500 to 2000-word assignment (30%), and tutorial exercises not exceeding 1000 words (10%). |
