316-129 Business Statistics or 316-130 Quantitative Methods 1. Pre or co requisite: 316-202 Intermediate Microeconomics. This subject is not available to students who have previously passed 316-313 Microeconomics.

Subject Description

The subject will cover (in mathematical terms) many of the areas treated more intuitively in introductory courses in macroeconomics and microeconomics e. g. macroeconomic dynamics, consumer demand, the theory of the firm, and imperfect competition and introduce mathematical techniques used in advanced subjects in economics.

Assessment

A 2-hour end-of-semester examination (80%); and tutorial exercises of up to 30 pages in total (20%).
