Subject Description | The application of basic accounting concepts and methods to the following introductory topics: company accounting, analysis and interpretation of financial statements, costs concepts, cost behaviour and the use of cost data in manufacturing operations. |
Assessment | A 3-hour end-of-semester examination (80%); an assignment of up to 3000 words (10%); tutorial presentation (10%). Satisfactory completion of this subject requires a 50 per cent pass in the end-of-semester examination. |
