Subject Description

Problems and issues of significance in some area of current linguistic theory and practice. It is intended that this subject will enable students to take advantage of regular advanced level subjects taught in the Department, intensive one-off courses taught by visitors, or courses at the biennial Linguistics Institutes. Students should contact the Department before enrolling in this subject.

Assessment

Essays and assignments totalling 5000 words.
