Subject Description | An introduction to the origins and history of English, the structure of English grammar, developing skills for describing and analysing the English language, an understanding of Australian English, accents of English, dialectal and stylistic variation, and pidgins and creoles. |
Assessment | Three problem-solving assignments, a 2000-word essay and a take-home examination paper, totalling 4000 words. |
