Subject Description

A thesis supervised through the Sociology Programme of 12,000 words on an approved topic, involving original research, based on a coherent research strategy and addressing contemporary sociological theory. The thesis should demonstrate the capacity to undertake a literature review, to construct a question, to define research objectives and integrate appropriate methods into a research strategy, to implement this strategy and to write this up in the form of a 12,000 word thesis.
