Subject Description

This subject builds on qualitative, quantitative and comparative research approaches introduced in undergraduate sociology subjects. It explores comparative approaches to research design, with a focus on areas where students intend undertaking honours theses. It combines case studies in research strategy with hands-on work, from questionnaire design to allow multivariate analysis, the analysis of data-sets, to modes action research and sociological intervention.
