Two 1-hour lectures and a 1-hour tutorial per week for one semester

Subject Description

Recent debates and reforms in Australian and Victorian public policy and public sector management will be analysed. Topics include welfare policy, health policy, unemployment and gender issues. Major changes in the public sector, including privatisation and contracting out of services, will be assessed. Students will be encouraged to design and evaluate policy proposals.

Essay work or equivalent totalling 5,000 words
