Subject Description | This subject involves students in constructing a fieldwork project drawing on their own biographies and family histories, to explore the inter-relationship between social change, family transition and individual life course. The subject is organised around a life-course perspective, exploring sociological approaches to contemporary experiences of love, sexuality, courtship, marriage formation and dissolution; family form, practice and transition; access to space and time; how family features selected for analysis affect individual identity, aspirations, and the transitions of life events. |
