Prerequisites

1. Entry to fourth-year Honours; 2. Approval from the Head of Department at the beginning of the candidate's Honours year; 3. Completion of 161-221 Introduction to Formal Logic and 161-322 Topics in Formal Logic (or equivalent).

Two hours per week for one semester

Subject Description

Advanced topics in Formal Logic.

Assessment

One 3-hour end-of-semester examination. Alternative assessment by up to 4000 words may be permitted in consultation with the supervisor.

Prescribed Texts

References will depend on the recommendation of the supervisor in consultation with the candidate.
