Subject Description

Working from a collection of primary sources in translation students will investigate a range of "critical moments" in intellectual history as Western thought evolved from its classical and Jewish origins to a distinctive late medieval synthesis.

Assessment

Written work or equivalent of no more than: 4000 words for Philosophy students with 11.1 point weighting; 6000 words for all other students.

Prescribed Texts

A Course Reader will be made available for students in the subject.
