Subject Description | In this subject, students will develop an appreciation of the relevance of philosophy to issues of public concern by attention to four significant and controversial areas of debate: (1) sexual morality and public policy; (2) business ethics; (3) the justification of punishment; and (4) the morality of war. |
Assessment | One 2-hour end-of-semester examination, two essays of 1500 words each, and regular attendance and participation in tutorials. |
