Subject Description

An introduction to philosophy by means of a study of Plato's Republic, a unified treatment of human psychology, political theory, metaphysics and moral philosophy.

Assessment

Two essays, one of 500 words and one of 1500 words, plus regular attendance and participation in tutorials, and a 2-hour end-of-semester examination.
