Subject Description | This introductory subject examines the major achievements in Chinese civilisation. Students will become familiar with the Chinese world view and Confucianism, with the great books of traditional China, and with its administrative structures and technological progress. They will also gain background information for other China related cultural studies. |
Assessment | Tutorial participation and written work not exceeding 4,000 words. |
Prescribed Texts | Materials will be supplied by the Department. |
