Subject Description

Intensive reading and/or research in a field of ethnological study and/or an area of topical concern not covered by other subjects available. The course of study may include an appropriate subject offered in another department. Students who complete this subject should: have developed skills in researching the available literature on a specific anthropological topic; have thoroughly understood the theoretical and empirical issues raised by that literature; be equipped to formulate and target a specific area of future research at postgraduate level.

Assessment

Up to 6000 words of written work.
