Subject Description

This subject explores aspects of the Italian migration to Australia in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The course examines major issues in, and the changing historiography of, Italian migration. The course will focus particularly on examination of the issues surrounding official inquiries into the Italian presence in Australia.

Written work amounting to no more than 6000 words.
