Subject Description | The destruction of European Jewry during the Second World War with consideration given to other cases of genocide in history. Students will at the end of the subject be able to understand the circumstances of historical and contemporary genocides; to examine the relationship between ideology and genocide; to identify and understand the behaviour of perpetrators, bystanders and victims during the Holocaust. |
Assessment | Written work totalling no more than 5000 words consisting of one research essay and one reflective essay. |
