Subject Description | A study of Australian history to about 1914. This subject explores the shaping of a new immigrant society by the transfer of peoples, ideas and institutions from their parent societies, and European settlers' relations with indigenous peoples. This subject is to familiarise students with the changing historiography of major issues in Australian colonial history, enabling students to make informed judgements about major historical approaches to the period. |
Assessment | Essays, class papers and assignments totalling not more than 5000 words. |
