Subject Description

This subject covers Swedish society from the Viking period to 1800, with an emphasis on cultural developments. During the course students will consolidate their knowledge of the Swedish language at an advanced level and they will deepen their understanding of the society, history, culture and literature of Sweden, principally through the medium of the Swedish language. They will examine certain periods of Swedish society from the Viking Era to modern times through the medium of the Swedish language.

Assessment

Essays, class papers and assignments of not more than 5000 words.
