Three hours of language classes, and a specialised reading class (one hour)

Subject Description

The course provides intensive training in the speaking, writing and reading of Italian through grammar exercises and functional activities designed to give students the skills necessary to communicate in and understand basic Italian. This course will also introduce students to different kinds of texts and styles. By the end of the semester the students should be able to have the basic knowledge to enable them to undertake basic reading and translation of simple but specialized texts.

Assessment

Take-home assignments; written tests totalling not more than three hours.
